From AI question to cost evidence

The AI agent performs the same cost calculations as the interface, displays its tool results and cross checks the figures in its answer against those. Any unsupported figures are flagged. There's a labelled offline planner which keeps the prototype functional when a model is not available.

The supplier demand

In this hypothetical situation the supplier are asking for +€62/t. The decision starts with the demand and the evidence you need to assess that demand.

Inspect the cost evidence

12 months of ore, coal, gas, power and carbon support at €23/t. The prototype makes the cost drivers transparent prior to approval.

Keep the buyer in control

The counter proposal has the quarterly index. A human looks at the evidence and works out what to propose; the interface doesn't go and approve it or send it off.

Show the modelled opportunity

The 'what if' scenario is a €1.19m opportunity. It's a purely hypothetical figure, not actual savings or a real business outcome.

AI agents check supplier price increases against market data. Buyers inspect the evidence and make the call.
